We are an early childhood service facility located in Boone, North Carolina, dedicated to providing a rich and inclusive learning environment for children and families.

Our Mission and History

The Casita Monte mission is to provide cultural enrichment, diversity, inclusion, and flexible programs within state regulations for child care excluded from licensure. We aim to foster a loving space for learning that promotes community engagement and civic connection. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that encourages children to embrace their unique identities while holding space for a diverse and caring community.

Options for Diverse Needs

as we structured our program before opening and in our early months, we noticed critical gaps in local care for: 

-children under 3

-programs that focused on evidence-based learning 

-programs with intentional structure that optimizes learning within the AAP recommendationa for early childhood development.  

-Afternoon half-day programs 

-Programs with sufficient outdoor learning environments in nature, which are beneficial to spacial, cognitive, and sensory development in early ages 

-Directors who speak Spanish and English to serve a broader range of families

As a grass-roots operation, we will work to meet these gaps in care for our community and are seeking families whose needs match our available services and/or vision to invest in us by enrolling their children ages 1-3.

Daily schedules and program themes support the delivery of activities that engage our students in scaled learning to challenge their best self and nurture them with kindness as they explore their growing social life.  Our approach centers community care and promotes self-discovery at the child's pace
