Recreation Programs

At Casita Monte, we offer recreation programs that focus on cultural, cognitive, and social enrichment. While the state of North Carolina does not consider recreation programs as child care, we believe that play is learning! We have carefully designed our curriculum with our students in mind. Each decision is inspired or made in order to benefit our cohort (current and prospective).

 Our curriculum includes global cultural education, inclusive learning as well as language development in Spanish and English so that students have options for well-rounded and enriching experience throughout the year. Enrollment is open year-round!

Membership Packages 

Our Weekday recreation programs have options for membership within the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays-Fridays We are reimagining structure to provide programs to provide quality programs for parents who live, work, or visit Watauga County, North Carolina. Our flexible payment plans accommodate a variety of pay schedules and budget needs. 

Our rates are based on the average hourly rate for local day care or other child programs that offer similar services.

Summer Society Program - Vinculo Verano

During the summer months, children can participate in our summer program, which is designed to be a fun and educational experience. With a focus on cultural immersion in a bilingual environment, our summer program offers an enriching and inclusive environment for children ages 6 months - 7 years. 

Nuestra Circulo de Naturaleza| Our Nature Circle 

During the months of September - December, children can participate in our Fall program, which is designed to be a fun and educational experience that centers nature in all its wonder. With a focus on cultural immersion through lessons in climate, geography, fashion, ecosystems, and interpersonal nature delivered in both Spanish and English, Nuestra Circulo de Naturaleza offers an dynamic environment for children ages 6 months - 4 years. 

Ritmus: Music & Rhythm Playgroup 

During the first months of the year, children can participate in our Ritmus program, which is designed to be a fun and educational experience. With a focus on music, movement, and the sounds of language, our Ritmus program offers a unique environment for children ages 6 months - 4 years to explore ways to connect with the world around them.
